Dear Reader,

 

Do you think that people should save Sumatran tigers? Wouldn't you want to see beautiful and majestic cats roam around the earth? Less than 400 of us are left. It's sad. We need help to put our lives we had before back to normal.

 

You might say,"Oh! Sumatran tigers aren't important!"

 

Not true!

 

We are very important to our ecosystem. Tigers and other predators play an important role in nature. By killing prey, they keep the numbers of the prey under control or balanced. By killing of the weaker or sick prey, the healthy prey can reproduce their species and have healthy babies.

 

Just reminding you that our habitat is being cut down and poachers are killing us  for our bones, which are used for a traditional Asian medicine. We think that's wrong and cruel. We aren't hurting anyone! We are not these "ferocious beasts" that people are talking about.

 

Please help us.
